TOWN OF WALLKILL, N.Y. – Baker Residential has opened preview sales for the initial phase of single-family homes at Woodside Knolls, one of the most successful selling new home communities in Orange County, N.Y.

VIP Homebuyers who placed their name on the community’s preferred buyers are now being invited to receive the first glimpse of the exceptional new collection of just 45 single-family residences, according to the Pleasantville, N.Y.-based homebuilder, which is developing Woodside Knolls in the of Wallkill. To become a part of the special VIP preview opening, interested prospects can visit or calling 845-343-3001.

Priced from $279,900, the three-and four-bedroom single-family homes boast thoughtful layouts that include two-and-a-half bathrooms, two-car garage and a full unfinished basement.

“While we expected these homes to be well-received, the rush for VIP Buyers to schedule their appointments to visit has already exceeded our expectations,” says Sales Representative Ashley Young.

“Clearly, there are a large number of interested prospects eager to view these floorplans and become one of the first purchasers of a spacious single-family home. However, there’s still time for those who want to preview these residences before they are released to the general public.”

The single-family residences at Woodside Knolls join the 216 fee-simple townhomes at the community which are on a record-breaking sales pace. More than 150 of the townhomes have been sold less than two years after opening to the public.

Much of the success is due to the community’s strong appeal to first-time homebuyers and young families. In addition to offering affordable townhomes priced from the mid-$200,000s, Woodside Knolls is approved by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) meaning qualified homebuyers can take advantage of FHA financing which requires as little at 3.5% downpayment.

Homebuyers looking to take advantage of the Federal Tax Credit program –which has been extended to included current homeowners — stand to incur further savings. Under the expanded program, first-time homebuyers will receive the $8,000 tax credit, while eligible buyers who have owned their current home for at least five years can receive up to $6,500 in tax credits if they close on their home by June 30th, 2010.

These unique buyer opportunities will be discussed in detail during a “Homebuyer’s Seminar” this Saturday, December 12th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the community’s sales office.

Residents of Woodside Knolls enjoy easy access to Route 84 and the New York State Thruway, making commuting to destinations in northern New Jersey and Manhattan convenient. Public transportation is also nearby with the Metro North Railroad just minutes away.

Woodside Knolls on-site recreational facilities are now open and functioning, providing residents with a new community clubhouse and recreation center with meeting room, fitness center, outdoor tennis court, half basketball court, outdoor pool and kiddie pool.
